Reinvent Yourself in 2023 - Here's How!
Reinvention is not just for career-changers anymore. It’s not just for job-seekers.
We are all reinventing, all the time.
The cells in our bodies die off and replace themselves continuously. We change without realizing it.
We can see reinvention more easily in other people than we see it in ourselves.
Performers like Madonna Dwayne Johnson a/k/a The Rock are famous for reinventing themselves over time. The Rock was a football player before becoming a WWE super star and then a movie star.
Reinvention is a natural process that occurs whether we like it or not – but when we take charge of our reinvention and point ourselves in the direction we want to go, exciting things happen!
Your current state including your work situation, living situation, friend groups, daily activities and beliefs is a launching pad for the next version of you to emerge.
Here’s the burning question: What will the next version of you look like?
Here are five questions to ask yourself:
1)????What do I care about most?
2)????What do I want to bring into my life over the next year, and the next five years?
3)????When I close my eyes and picture myself living the life I choose, let’s say five years from now, what do I see?
4) If I get to decide how to use my time and talents, what kind of work will I choose?
5) What's possible for me that I haven't dared to envision before?
Many or most of us don’t make big changes or even contemplate making them because we think, “I have too much going on and too many problems in my life right now. I can’t take on anything new. I can’t think about moving into the life I envision because it’s too much work.”
When you feel this way, focus on your vision.
Don’t worry about implementation of your vision. That will become clearer and easier as your vision becomes real in your mind.
Sit by yourself in a quiet moment and envision the life you want and deserve. The more clearly your vision takes shape, the more you’ll be motivated to move toward your vision.
You don’t have to do everything at once. You can let your vision crystallize over time, and begin to see how to take the first few steps to reach your vision.
Here are questions to ponder as you let your vision for your life come into view:
1)????Where will I live?
2)????How will I spend my time?
3)????Who will I spend time with?
4)????How will I earn money?
5)????How will I use my gifts to make my mark on the world?
6)????I envision a life that makes me happy – so, what makes me happy?
You can reinvent yourself at any age and any stage of your career.
You can change your situation, one step at a time. You can climb over obstacles or tunnel under them. You can design your life to support your goals and your vision for the person you want to be.
Create your vision, and the path toward that vision will get clearer every day!
Grow Your Thought Leadership Flame By Becoming A Career Coach!
We have two important things to do in the working world:
1)????Create a revenue stream, and
2)????Grow our flame.
领英推荐
A revenue stream is a source of income.
In the working world we convert our skills, talents, knowledge, time and attention into a revenue stream that covers our living expenses and pays for other things we want and need.
Apart from generating revenue or income, we have another goal in the working world.
You have a flame inside you.?
That flame wants to grow!
Your job can grow your flame.
Your job can allow you to do good in the world. That’s an important way to grow your flame.
A job that grows your flame is a job that gives you intellectual stimulation, social affirmation, creative expression, self-confidence or a combination of all those things.
You can grow your flame and create a solid revenue stream as a career coach.
You can help working people and job seekers find their path and move along it.
You can use your brains, talents and wisdom to help coaching clients take charge of their own careers.
I’m teaching a small group of awesome people how to become career coaches, launch and grow their own coaching businesses and teach the Human Workplace curriculum.
You can coach part-time or full-time. You can build your coaching practice on the side, alongside your current job, and step into full-time coaching when the time is right.
Or, you can continue coaching on a part-time basis to grow your income and your thought leadership flame.
If you’re interested in learning more about becoming a career coach with my help, complete our Career Coaching Questionnaire at this link:
When you submit your completed questionnaire you’ll be prompted to schedule a call with our Operations Manager, Michael, to talk about your career coaching ideas and goals.
Here’s to you!
