Reimagining Tomorrow!

Who would have thought that a health crisis would cause the global economy to crumble - triggering upheavals in financial markets, plummeting oil prices, collapsing industries and compelling several small businesses to shut shop. The #Covid19 pandemic uprooted our lives in ways we couldn’t fathom, so it was admissible to feel anxious and fear the uncertain.

As Henry Ford rightly said,

“When everything is going against you, remember that the aeroplane takes off against the wind, not with it.”

Today, the world has begun to embrace what we now understand as the “new normal.” With the nation-wide lockdowns, restricted mobility, imposed limitations on in-person business activities, COVID-19 has unwittingly sparked off a major global experiment.

Business continuity measures beckoned the swift deployment of technology to bridge the gap. From setting up remote working infrastructure and herding teams into virtual conferences, to repurposing the value chain, organisations perused through every digital playbook to offset the lockdown challenges.

Abandoning our innate characteristic of socialising dragged us all out of our comfort zones. Household chores played a catalytic role in establishing a deeper connect with our families. We are now more grateful for the quality time we spend with our loved ones.

#Gratitude is a beautiful way of overcoming panic. I feel humble and grateful to be a part of an industry that can truly make a difference in the lives of patients. This is our core #purpose - to be able to #care and to help alleviate sufferings of those in distress. This is what has inspired us at Cipla for past 85 years and continues to fuel our passion even today. 

As we draw closer to flattening the curve, a new world will manifest itself in unique ways. I firmly believe this crisis will reveal not just our vulnerabilities but also present multiple opportunities to reflect and #reimagine the future!
