Reimagining the live event experience at StubHub

My initial time so far as the Chief Technology Officer of StubHub has been filled with energy and momentum, stemming from a deep-rooted passion of serving fans, day in and day out. We always say that we are a company “of fans, for fans.” That’s what drove StubHub to become the industry leader and fueled our growth into the largest live events marketplace in sports, music and theatre in the world.

I’m thrilled to announce today that StubHub is going all-in on Google Cloud Platform and Pivotal as our cloud service providers. We’ll leverage the breadth and depth of their machine learning, analytics, databases, serverless computing and developer tools to allow us to innovate faster than ever before to meet the demands of our growth, to fans in 48 countries around the world.

Our move to the cloud launches us headfirst into a new chapter of our product and tech journey. As we reimagine the future of live events, we will not only make the ticket-buying experience simpler and more integrated, we will be creating engaging experiences for customers, before, during and after the event, everywhere our fans expect us to be.

 This is the first step to evolve StubHub to be even more of a fan-first, product-and-outcome-driven organization. We have bold plans for innovation in the years to come and are just getting started.
