Humanity faces unprecedented environmental challenges, and it is imperative that the upcoming generations be equipped to both deal with them and come up with the solutions necessary. Empowering them with knowledge, awareness, and a sense of responsibility towards the environment will be critical in helping them address the environmental challenges they face.
On that front, the innovative Cambridge Climate Quest programme, developed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment, in collaboration with Cambridge Zero, has been promoting climate awareness and inspiring proactive engagement among young learners in India. Cambridge Climate Quest represents a long-term climate education initiative which will feature products and services aimed at fostering climate consciousness and engagement among young learners.
In the ongoing first phase of Cambridge Climate Quest, learning content has been developed in conjunction with the pathbreaking Cambridge Zero initiative to create foundational climate awareness among students between Grades 8 and 12. Aligned to the mandates of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education, this programme is ready for seamless integration into curricula across various boards. The course also marks a first step in addressing the lack of a structured climate education curriculum for students at the secondary stage.?
Cambridge Climate Quest features three eLearning modules enriched with diverse audiovisual elements to elevate the learning experience, along with periodic assessments for self-evaluation. On successful completion of the course, a certificate will be conferred by Cambridge University Press & Assessment and Cambridge Zero, emphasising the programme’s credibility and educational value.
