Reimagining a better future for every child

My son has taught me many things.?

How to stay curious. How to express myself better. To reimagine the world and to see it through the innocence of their eyes and voice.?

Today, November 20, on World Children’s Day, I am reminded of this unique power.??

This year’s theme, reimagining a better future for every child, comes when children, like us adults, experienced the uncertainty brought on by the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown how inequality affects the rights of every child.?

But there’s hope. We all can do something to support children and to create a better future for them.??

This is something close to my heart.??

I am deeply passionate about children, and I am always delighted to be involved in projects and initiatives in education, health, sports, and other areas to support them to go beyond.?

I am a living testimony that access to education has the power to shape an individual's ultimate destiny.?

I keep exploring ways to make the world a better place for children. I am also glad to be part of a company that passionately embraces this. Safaricom is involved in philanthropy through the Safaricom and M-PESA foundations; social development projects in sports and arts; policy development; partnerships; and advocacy to ensure children are safe and achieve their potential both online and offline.?

I call on you to use your skills, time, and talents to reimagine a better future for every child.

Challenge accepted! I will personally share what I can do (and currently doing) to create a better future for our children and generations to come! This is something that has been close to my heart too!

Nicely said Peter Ndegwa. Our biggest learning is through children especially our children, they are a mirror reflection of us.
