#Reimagine | Co-creating Our New World

COVID-19 is impacting everyone – from individuals to institutions and is fast redefining a new normal. At the onset of the pandemic itself, we see organization responding quickly to leverage technology to play a vital role in diminishing the effects of pandemic. Over the past few months, we have worked extensively in private and public partnership to turn the tide on COVID-19.

We are revolutionizing the way governments engage citizens and maintain critical services all while they work remotely.

In Philippines Virtual Courts were launched throughout the country; led by Supreme Court itself adopting videoconferencing on Microsoft Teams. Within first nine days, 4000+ accused were released, a 125% increase in daily releases compared to six weeks prior to implementation of Teams.

The Parliament of the Maldives holds virtual proceedings with the help of Microsoft Teams.

In Maldives, lawmakers continue to work from Virtual Parliaments using video conferencing via MS Teams, taking part in debates and casting votes online all from the safety of their homes. An excellent example of how technology is changing the way even traditional institutions function.

We are disrupting the way education is imparted.

Thailand enabling Virtual Classrooms

In Thailand, MHESI partnered with Microsoft to move 150 universities to Virtual Classrooms. 60,000 educators and 2M students are using Microsoft’s comprehensive special tools that not only allow video conferencing but also advanced features such as digital board for simultaneous ideation using MS Whiteboard for Education and Student Analytics to assess level of interest and participation of students in real time. Vietnam launched a ‘Back-to-School’ program under which 200 schools in Hai Phong City were onboarded onto Teams in nearly a day. In Korea, we partnered with EBS to launch EBS Software Learning Platform (ESOF). Millions of students continued their education online powered by Microsoft Azure backed platform.

We are reshaping the way businesses implement business continuity.

Watercare, an Auckland-based Utilities company, continued its operations seamlessly while maintaining guidelines of social distancing and remote working; their resilient operations powered by Microsoft Teams.

In Sri Lanka, the tea industry came to a standstill when auctions for tea leaves could not be physically held. A 150-year-old tradition moved online seamlessly on an Azure-powered E-auction platform.

One thing we learnt from COVID, our world is plunged into the age of dynamic change and our new world is now in the making. We all play a role by responding to this change in collaboration, with creativity and in confidence. When we reimagine post COVID-19 return, we are think of making businesses thrive and not just survive and individuals empowered with the skills for new economic opportunity. As organization prepare for the new normal, let’s focus our digital efforts towards greater agility and long-term sustainability.

Digitization will continue to accelerate in pace (what should have taken 2 years is now happening in 2 months), and is core and central to our new world, as we emerge from #lockdowns #CB, let’s come together to “Reimagine the future”. Bringing to you soon, #ReimagineDigitalSeries, a curation of digital forums and webinars where we reimagine the new world in the making with you! Join us for our upcoming #ReimagineDigitalSeries.
