REIL Releases Tender for 200,000 Mono PERC Solar Cells; Adani’s Mega Renewable Energy Park Takes Shape in Gujarat’s Khavda and More...

Rajasthan Electronics & instruments Limited (REIL) Issues tender for 2 lakh Mono PERC Solar Cell 5.50 WP.The last date to submit the bids is May 1, 2024, with bid opening scheduled on the same day.


The Khavda area in Gujarat, a barren stretch of land near the Pakistan border, is being transformed into the world’s largest renewable energy park by Adani Green Energy Ltd. Originally accessed only by a modest airstrip without air traffic control, the site now gears up for a significant clean energy venture. The park, spanning 538 square kilometers, will leverage the region’s abundant solar radiation and high wind speeds to generate clean electricity.

India is projected to experience a significant increase in energy demand, with requirements expected to more than double by 2047, according to Venu Gopal Mothkoor, Senior Specialist of Energy at NITI Aayog. Mothkoor spoke during a roundtable discussion hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) focused on “Doubling the Rate of Energy Efficiency of Indian Industry 2030”. He highlighted that currently, approximately 84% of India’s energy production relies on coal.


In the ever-evolving landscape of energy in Telangana, the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) has undertaken significant strides toward modernizing its energy policies. This includes a focus on enhancing the infrastructure to support both existing energy needs and future growth. As part of these efforts, TSERC has introduced a series of initiatives and systems that aim to improve energy distribution and accessibility for all consumers, whether they are individual households or large industrial entities. One of the key developments has been the emphasis on open access, allowing more players to engage in energy distribution.


Norwegian clean-tech company TECO 2030 and Indian firm Advait Energy Transitions Limited have announced a partnership aimed at fuel cell technology expansion in India. TECO 2030 specializes in developing PEM hydrogen fuel cell stacks and modules for zero-emission solutions in maritime and heavy industries, while Advait Infratech Limited focuses on power infrastructure and green energy markets.
