It's been a while since I last shared an update, and I'm excited to reconnect with all of you. Over the past few years, I've been deeply immersed in the world of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) and neurotechnology, working on projects that have pushed the boundaries of what we can achieve with these cutting-edge technologies. Today, I want to share a bit about my journey, my recent work, and the exciting direction I'm heading towards in the realm of mental health.
A Journey of Innovation and Impact
My journey in BCI and neurotech has been incredibly fulfilling. From developing advanced interfaces that bridge the gap between the brain and external devices to exploring how neurotechnology can enhance our cognitive abilities, I've been fortunate to work on some truly groundbreaking projects.
- Developed BCI POC for Drone Control for Dubai Ministry: This project was a significant milestone, showcasing the practical applications of BCI in real-world scenarios.
- Authored Two Official Guides for OpenBCI: Sharing knowledge and empowering others in the field has always been a priority for me.
- Delivered Technical Talks at Universities: Engaging with the academic community and inspiring the next generation of innovators has been a rewarding experience.
- BCI evangelist on LinkedIn: My BCI videos, particularly one demonstrating how to control a toy car using EEG waves, gained immense popularity. One video received over 1.2 million impressions, 4.7k+ likes, and 115 reposts, highlighting the widespread interest in BCI technology.
Significant Projects and Breakthroughs
I've been fortunate to achieve significant milestones in my career, including:
- Winning 1st Place in Global BCI Hackathon: Competing single-handedly and emerging victorious was a testament to the hard work and dedication invested in this field.
- Upcoming Award in Health Care Field: While I will share more details later, this recognition is a significant milestone in my career.
Why Stealth Mode?
For the past one year, I've been working in stealth mode, focusing on the next frontier of neurotechnology: its application in healthcare, especially in clinical settings. This period allowed me to delve deeper into hardware, data accuracy, software, and AI, with the aim of revolutionizing mental health care.

- BCI Rehabilitation for Stroke: Developing innovative solutions to aid stroke recovery.
- Emotion Assessment for Educational Institutes: Using neurotech to enhance the learning experience.
- Investigating HRV Along with EEG: Exploring the combination of HRV and EEG for comprehensive stress analysis.
- nVNS and CBT Interventions: Integrating non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Influence of Ayurveda on Mental Health: Investigating how traditional practices can complement modern neurotech solutions.
Expanding My Vision with Expert Guidance and Collaboration
A pivotal moment in this journey was meeting with some remarkable doctors and experts who have expanded my vision and understanding of mental health. These interactions have been enlightening and transformative, helping me see the potential of neurotech from different perspectives.
Integrating the Best of All Worlds
Exposure to these varied health niches has enriched my understanding of mental health. By integrating the best practices from neuroscience, ayurveda, therapy, yoga, meditation and AI, I am developing a holistic approach to mental health care. This confluence of knowledge allows us to create comprehensive solutions that address both the mind and body.
A Vision for the Future
My vision is not just to build neurotech tools but to enhance how mental health is monitored and treated on a large scale. By leveraging data-driven insights, we can empower individuals to make informed decisions about their mental health. This approach will lead to more effective treatments and improved outcomes.
As I continue this journey, I invite you all to join me. Together, we can push the boundaries of what's possible and create a future where mental health care is more accessible, personalized, and effective.
