Rehabilitation Support worker vs. Personal Support Worker
My good friend Pat Gaughan of Bartimaeus passed this on to me. Very helpful.
"Best way to remember is PSW does “for” and will always do “for”, whereas the RSW does “with” and in the future the client will hopefully do “without” the RSW."

6 年Very interesting because the general public rarely can differentiate the difference between PSW and the rest of them. I am aware that PSW training falls in line with "doing for" whereas other titles focus is "doing with" as a way teaching the skill so that the supported individual becomes independent. However, it is very shocking and disappointing seeing not only PSW practically "doing for" unfortunately and that's a disservice to the supported individuals.
