For the month of August there were approximately 92 new Regulatory positions posted at smaller biopharma companies in the US. This is up 18% from July and up 19% from August 2023.?

55% of these new positions in August were in Clinical Regulatory Strategy and 22% were in CMC Regulatory, 12% were in Advertising, Promotions & Labeling, and 11% in Regulatory Operations.? Roughly 50% of these roles were at Director level and above. There were six new Regulatory VP/SVP positions posted in August.??

Only 19% of all new Regulatory roles in August were posted as Remote and 27% were Hybrid (remote/onsite).? 42% of the August Regulatory positions were in California, 30% were in Massachusetts, and 18% were in the NJ/NY/PA area.?

There were layoffs announced at 20 biotech and pharma companies in August.
