REGRESSION TO MEAN

When the curtains are drawn does light cast a gleam or

Does darkness descend on all that we seem?

Beyond the fa?ade of hope and dreams

Lies the shadows of doubt, a regression to mean

Caught in our consciousness swimming upstream

With success and failure vacillating between

Entendres double with highs and lows - offsetting extremes

Cast as life’s progress or regression to mean

A point on a curve, a trajectory's path

Changing perspectives with knowledge adapt

Mistakes are meant to teach us progression

Experience of failure is a most valuable lesson

Have we not learned more in a thousand years?

We are stronger united with all of our peers

Mediocrity tethers failures and success

To actions and words, compassion, and kindness

Rise above the median with nothing to fear

May the future be bright and vision clear

Learn how today’s effort destines tomorrow’s fate

Reflect on your pool of memories without regret

Like the rising sun on a peaceful lake

Aspirations and achievements are ours to make ?

It's ok to get lost in a moment if only fleetingly

Horizons change with perspective dramatically

Never let situational gravity keep you down

May your head and heart’s desires be found

In a welcoming world with arms open wide

Understanding the creator is on your side

Let wisdom prevail as you turn on life’s page

Remember the concealing appeal of success

Pales in comparison to true happiness

Live life inspired by your true calling

Rising above inertia - fly without falling

The stars are closer than they seem

Soaring beyond a regression to mean
