EU Adopts 13th Package of Sanctions Against Russia for Ukraine Invasion

In response to the second anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the EU has implemented its thirteenth package of restrictive measures targeting individuals and entities supporting Putin's regime and perpetuating the aggression. The sanctions include measures against 106 individuals and 88 entities involved in actions threatening Ukraine's territorial integrity, focusing on military sectors and individuals aiding DPRK armament supply to Russia, along with tighter import-export controls and restrictions on iron and steel imports from Russia, with the UK aligning its measures with the EU. EU Extends Belarus Sanctions Amid Ongoing Repression and Support for Russian Aggression

The Council of the European Union has prolonged restrictive measures against Belarus until February 28, 2025, citing the country's persistent internal repression and continued backing of Russian aggression against Ukraine. The sanctions, which include asset freezes, financial transaction bans, and travel restrictions, target individuals and entities involved in human rights violations and support for Russia, with 233 individuals and 37 entities currently listed.
