Registration or registration?
What is a difference between registration and registration?
This might seem as silly question to many of you, but when speaking of immigration we can define two types of registration – in such a case our first question does make a sense. Still do not understand?
In case you have a short-term visa or a long-term visa, you have to register within 3 working days after your arrival to the Czech Republic. In this case the registration would take a place at the Foreign Police – this does not apply to you if you are accommodated in a hotel facilities are obliged by the law to arrange the registration on your behalf.
If you are an EU citizen and you plan to stay in Czech longer than 30 days, but for a shorter than 90 days, you should also register with the Foreign Police.
What if you have a residency permit? In this case the registration should take a place at the Immigration Office – in many cases you would have to undertake a biometry and this step can only be arranged here.
In case of EU nationals who plan to live in the Czech Republic, they should apply for a registration certificate at the Immigration Office.
