It is not permissible to release these products for trading purposes unless they are produced in registered Factories or imported from companies that own the trademark or registered distribution centers. The registry or cancellation from this record shall be by the competent Foreign Trade Minister’s decree; also, he may grant an exemption from all or any of the registration requirements in cases determined by the competent minister.

What are the requirements for registering a Factory in Egypt?
Factories & Companies eligible to Export to Egypt are required to fulfill the following conditions to be recorded in the registration
First, regarding Factories:
The registration form is to be applied by the legal representative of the factory, his/her delegate, or his/her agent supported by the authenticated documents hereinafter:
Second: Regarding trademark-owning companies:
The registration form is to be applied by the legal representative of the factory, his/her delegate, or his/her agent supported by the authenticated documents hereunder:
1) A certificate approving the trademark and the products produced under it.
2) A certificate proving that the factory is applying the quality control system issued by a recognized body from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) or the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) or from a governmental entity, Egyptian or Foreign, approved by the competent Minister of Foreign Trade.

2-?How long?it takes to register Factories & Companies eligible to export their products to Egypt?
The registration in the aforementioned register shall be complete upon the submission of the required documents. However, the concerned person shall deliver proof of registration?within a period not exceeding 15 days from the day of submitting the required documents.?In the event of doubts about the validity of the submitted document, the registration shall be made only after confirmation of their validity, the applicant may request the Company or the Factory to be inspected to verify the authenticity of the documents under the approval of the Foreign Trade Minister.

?3- What are the required documents to register a Factory in Egypt?
All the below-mentioned documents shall be authenticated by the Chamber of Commerce or its replacement and ratified by the Egyptian embassy in the country of origin. Also, the submitted documents shall be accompanied by translated ones by an accredited translation centre.
Certified ownership of the Trademark:
If the factory has its own trademark. The factory shall present the issued certificate from the ownership registration official entity.

If the factory does not have its own trademark and produces using another factory’s trademark. The factory shall present 1) Authorization from the original trademark owner to the right of suing, exporting, or importing by it. 2) The original trademark certificate (owned by the original owner) and issued by the official entity for ownership registration.
If the factory does not have its own trademark and is willing to register without a trademark, It shall provide a letter providing that the factory does not have a trademark, but produces using another factory’s name, (printed on the factory’s paper).
The Quality Certificate:
A certificate proving that the factory is applying the quality control system issued by a recognized body from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) or the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) or from a governmental entity, issued by the English language.

4) What are the required documents for companies?that own trademarks?

The Ownership Certificate of the Trademark:
If the company owns a trademark:

The Quality Control System Certificate:
Providing that the factories produced under the company’s trademark shall apply the quality control system issued by a recognized body from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) or the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) or from a governmental entity issued by the English language.
