Swimming pools are large containers for water and water is an extremely aggressive medium where GRP laminates are concerned.

?In the absence of the correct surface protection, moisture ingress causes GRP composites to swell and the resulting attack on the E-glass reinforcement fibers weakens the structure of the laminate. The chemical reaction between the water, the E-glass fibers, and the resin results in unsightly and undesirable black spots or “blisters”.

It is therefore crucial that new GRP “Pop-in” pools as well as pool repair and resurfacing have the correct surface protection ensuring a quality product that will give years of trouble-free service.

?EasyVeil enhances the barrier to moisture ingress when used in conjunction with an ISOPHTHALIC resin system behind the swimming pool gelcoat.

?EasyVeil resists attack by acids, alkalis, and water and being manufactured with continuous monofilament fibres, conforms easily to complex shapes while ensuring little to no incidents of fibre wicking.

?EasyVeil:

·????????Provides a reinforced resin rich corrosion barrier behind the gelcoat

·????????Reinforces the gelcoat and protects both sides of the laminate against moisture attack

·????????Prevents the E-glass chopped strands from protruding to the surface of the laminate

·????????Works to eliminate blister formation and osmosis

·????????Works to create a smooth, easy to clean surface finish

·????????Adds impact and abrasion resistance to pool surfaces limiting operational as well as “in-transit” and “installation” damage.

EasyVeil tissue is made from five or six layers of continuous fibres, 12 micron dia. of a low-melt, corrosion resistant glass,C-glass (ASTM C162-93),randomly dispersed across the sheet.
