Regenerative Travel 101

Essential resources for slow and regenerative travel ??

“If you think adventure is dangerous, try routine, it is lethal.” — Paulo Coelho

I'm on an epic adventure from south to north Norway, exploring what it means to live, travel and work in regenerative and life-affirming ways.

Here are some of my favourite regenerative (?) travelling resources I stumbled upon during my research ??

Regenerative Travel Principles ???

“So behave that the odour of your actions may enhance the general sweetness of the atmosphere.” —Henry David Thoreau
Trajectory of ecological design by Bill Reed. From Ernesto van Peborgh.

Here are some of my personal principles for regenerative travel:

  • Travel Slowly To Travel Deeply ??
  • Travel In By Travelling Out ??
  • Resonance Is Your Compass ??
  • Meet and Eat Local ??
  • Sense the Place, its Patterns, and Potential ??
  • Ask: “What Do You Need?” ??
  • Bring Your Unique Gifts ??

How do you (try to) travel in regenerative and life-affirming ways? And what are some of your favourite resources?

Let me know in the comments ??

I was keen on studying agroecology but instead chose to volunteer on permaculture and some regenerative farms in the Uk. It turned out to be really fulfilling experience and opened up a whole new world of understanding of the term interbeings for me. Hope it’s the same for you. Great to you see embark on this new adventure and looking forward to learning about your experience !
