Regenerating...

Hello pal,
Happy Wednesday! How are you?
Nature is us & we are Nature.?
This is something I have realised to be true over the last few years since spending more time in nature & listening to indigenous elders. I feel as if this realisation is beginning to click for many people and I am starting to see this ripple into the way people make decisions about their businesses too.?
Whilst I was in London last month I was invited by my dear friend Ash Pollock to Vivobarefoot's Regenerative Leadership Immersion at Springwood Farm. Ash is the Head of Transfromation, Culture & Regenerative Leadership at Vivobarefoot and she, along with the Founder of Vivobarefoot, Galahad Clark and the owner of Springwood Farm Giles Hutchins co-created this incredible concept to bring leaders together at Springwood farm to learn what being a Regenerative Leader and creating a Regenerative business really means. (of course in the middle of a forest :))?
It has only been in the last few years that I have heard this term “Regenerative Leadership” through Sara Rickards, Giles Hutchins and Laura Storm.?
?But what does the term 'regenerative' actually mean, and what about 'regenerative business' ?and 'regenerative leadership'??
“Regenerative means to renew, replenish, heal, revitalize. Which, in practice, means to understand and work with the living-system dynamics of the organization and its wider ecosystem; to work in ways that allow the business to become life-affirming. Essentially, 'regenerative' is to attune with the way nature works. And 'regenerative business' enriches all stakeholders including wider society and the environment; a business that is committed to becoming life-affirming in all its facets, both inner-and-outer: culture, operations, strategy and ecosystem. 'Regenerative leadership' is a way of leading that cultivates life-affirming conditions. It is a shift in consciousness from a reductive/mechanistic way of leading into a systemic/living-systems way of leading.”
What did I learn from this immersion day?
If I am really honest I am still letting the experience sink in :)?
However, my first observation was that over 40 business leaders decided to show up to a farm in the middle of the English countryside, with a group of people they had never met before, to disconnect completely from their mobile phones, immerse themselves in nature and learn & discuss what it meant to truly be REGENERATIVE … that speaks volumes to me.?
The second thing that spoke to me was the land. I was just so taken by the place, I really had no words at the end of the day and throughout the entire day I didn't even feel like I wanted to speak (and for those that know me you know this is unusual! hehe) I simply wanted to listen to everyone else & their thoughts and I felt happy doing just that. I also felt so much deep peace, so much gratitude and so much love - feeling like I was exactly in the right place surrounded by exactly the right people at exactly the right time.?
Perhaps, I was simply REGENERATING….. after all regenerating means to renew, replenish, heal and revitalize and for me, that's exactly what the day felt like.
I am looking forward to seeing what unfolds next from this immersion day, I did exchange details with the people I met so let's see! :) ?If you ever get the opportunity to work with Giles and go to Springwood Farm - go for it - it is a very special place.?
?If not, why not tuck into Giles' latest book which I am tucking into at the moment & loving - Nature Works (because let's be honest - ?it really does!)
7 day fresh start update!
Talking about regenerating I feel like I am taking my wellbeing to whole other level this week! I am 3 days into my 7 day fresh start program and absolutely loving it! I am learning all about intermittent fasting and how to do it safely. I am very much in a fasting and feasting mindset now, like the way our ancestors use to do it (well perhaps not out in the bush hunting for food) but you know…. basically, not eating and snacking for the sake of it because we have access to so much food these days.?

As part of my research, I interviewed a dear pal of mine, Sarah Law, on my podcast. Sarah is a naturopathic nutritionist and co-creator of the Thrive Nutrition and Wellbeing program that I follow. We've known each other for 15 years and have been in the same incredible company called Arbonne.
In this episode, Sarah dives into the world of nutrition, explaining the benefits of programs like Thrive and the new 7-day Fresh Start. She breaks down the science behind intermittent fasting and why it's not a one-size-fits-all approach, especially for women. Sarah provides practical tips throughout this episode to help us adopt healthier habits in our daily lives.?We?explore menopause, discussing the benefits and potential pitfalls of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Sarah emphasises the importance of a holistic approach, addressing inflammation, gut health, and liver detoxification before jumping into hormone treatments.?

Scottish Premiere: Kiva - The Call of the Wisdom Keepers Documentary?
I am so excited to be bringing this documentary to Scotland for the first time. Some people ask me why I do this as its a not for profit event, I dont make any money from it and I invest time in making it happen. Its really simple for me - I want to create more spaces where Indigenous voices are heard. ??
I am delighted that we have now sold 50% of tickets for for each location so if you want to come along check out the links to book below:
The Scotsman Picturehouse Edinburgh:?
Geilsland Estate, Beith:?
Theosophical Society, Glasgow:?
All money collected will be going to covering the costs of screening the documentary and also our Wisdom Keeper Cheryl and her work.?
