While dealing with negativity and fear I believe that you can’t possibly have a negative attitude about the day ahead because at the time of your thinking in the morning it has not happened yet. It does not exist, and how can you truly be connected to something that does not exist? Therefore,what you have instead is your thoughts about the day ahead. “Will happen” is a thought. Well, thoughts are just thoughts, are they really what is bothering you? You can have positive thoughts, negative thoughts, indifferent thoughts, that’s no big deal.
The weather is nice right now and the day ahead is going to be awesome. But it is your mental noise and what’s really bothering you are the feelings inside that come with those thoughts: unpleasant tension in the stomach, chocking sensation and so on. This is what happens in general that a negative thought “about the day ahead” appears and an unpleasant sensation appears thereafter an aversion to that sensation appears and finally as you can see, it is not really about the day ahead - it is all about what is happening in your thoughts and sensations right now, this very moment in the morning.
Moreover, the first thing to do is to realize that your feeling has nothing to do with the future, which does not even truly exist, but it has everything to do with the current moment.Once you are well aware of what is happening right now all those thoughts and sensations, it becomes quite clear what to do next is to relax. As long as you are fully focused on your sensations, you are in control of your body. But if you are focused on thoughts “about the day ahead”, those thoughts are in control of your body. If they command it to become tense, it will, and that will hurt.
And the secret to become fully focused is the first step - realization that those thoughts are about the imaginary future that is not real, and that they are what is really happening now. Without mastering it you will keep reacting to stories presented by thoughts as to something that is really taking place, and you will get tense and miserable. The thoughts are taking place now, but their content is not. Focus on what is happening now.
Foremost thought should be don't keep any negative company because sometimes it is not possible to totally avoid negative people as our relatives or friends or classmates and even teachers can be negative so try to avoid them if not then just ignore them and if someone says something like if you can’t do it and then rephrase in your mind immediately I definitely will do it Instead always keep positive company which I personally find it hard to find positive friends but if you find one try to be in their company
Then practice gratitude every morning be thankful for at least five things. Like be thankful for good sleep or dream or even the fact that you are alive to see one more beautiful morning. Also today's media may it be TV or newspaper most of them focus on negative news. Try to read positive news as well. Once in a while do what your heard says like shopping or eat your favourite food.
Also listen to your favourite music or stick to your hobby. Even going to gym or any such fitness activity can make you happy. Avoid judging others or make any negative comment even in your mind. Remember misery loves company will ultimately make you negative but you have made a firm resolve to overcome fear and negativity and therefore just go ahead and enjoy the fresh new day. Cheers!
