Refuse To Quit In Face of Adversity

Whenever we are pursuing our dreams, goals or overcoming any kind of obstacle – we are always tempted to quit.
1: How do successful people know that they are not giving up no matter what?
Many times the difference between people who live their dreams and those who don’t is that many quit before it’s even possible. Success is a game of determination.
2: It is an endurance match and only a few will hang in there till the end.
“When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt
3: Tie a knot. Get creative and hang in there.
Know that when it seems like you are out of rope, out of energy, out of money, out of hope; there is still something you can do to go a little further.
When you run out, it doesn’t mean stop. It means, gets creative and take away!
“I don’t expect you to believe in my dream how I believe in my dream. It’s MY dream. I’m not putting my dream on anybody else and I don’t care what anybody else thinks of my dream. It’s up to me!” –Eric Thomas
4: Even when no one else sees it for you, you must see it for yourself.
Don’t wait for other people to believe in you to build momentum towards your dream. Start taking daily small actions towards your goal and you will build momentum that way – a more empowering way. You don’t need their belief, because you have yours.
Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is both very simple and very difficult. You’ve come too far…quitting is no longer an option. How bad do you want it?
“Don’t avoid the temptation to quit, fight it. Fight your desire to quit with the power of your dream. Fight the urge to quit with your fear of regret. Fight the urge to quit with your inner strength and your inner voice, that’s telling you that no matter what – you must keep going, you are built for this!” –Jeffrey I. Moore
Know it will be a battle and let that battle excite you. Know that you are fighting the good fight, and let that drive you.
You are strong enough, positive enough and have been designed for this exact path. You will make it happen.
“If you are going through hell, keep going.” -Winston Churchill
5: Don’t get burned and quit.
- Don’t get beat up, torn down – just to quit.
- Get something from it.
- Get a reward from it.
- But you will never be able to reap the benefits if you quit.
- You will leave that on the table and then just have the pain.
- Keep going.
Stay in the game long enough to exchange the pain for something greater -
Empowering people who are struggling with pain or decreased movement and function to get back to enjoying life
5 年A prayer springs to mind; God (or who or whatever you believe in) ‘grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference!’
