Sleepy and Boring Afternoon Class!
After this Pandemic, the biggest tough time in the classroom?is gaining students' attention in the afternoon session…
Here is a glimpse of activities I practice in class especially during afternoon sessions!
In recent Outbound training, I have learned that when students work in a team the results are quite interesting and when a regular classroom environment is flipped, there happens a change in students' behavior and mindset.
Here are a few tips: When students are let to Discover New Things inside the classroom, even if it is for a few minutes with 100% assured, there happens to be active brainstorming.
Create more mystery into the classroom, make sure not to deliver just the information and statistical data. Incorporate curiosity into the lesson.
Regular Lecturing shall be changed into a conversation with minimum PowerPoint presentation usage.
Here is my active classroom @ 2: 00 pm to 3: 40pm class with high energy to work as a group and through their eyes I can understand the curiosity in learning new things. Of Course, students make sounds, some may be a bit notorious but my agent is my kids understanding the particular topic with an active classroom environment! With my collar up, I can say it is achieved!!!
