Refugees

 It was tonight after work that I often will listen and tune in to the world news.   What did I hear?  I heard about the Syria refugees fleeing their homeland and ending up to the Greece borders.  What are we doing in today’s world?  What have we done or actually never done?  Times have always been changing; but never had I heard so many people fleeing from danger, war, distress, hostility…than ever before.

 Don’t tell me the world is not any worse than before.  People seem to say this over and over again, and nothing gets straightened out.  Nothing is solved. I was a young student in school and during my time, I didn’t hear about school shootings.  My children grew up in elementary with school shooting drills, as it has occurred in these generations.  I never did hear about theatre shootings as well.  And then the largest terrorism came into our land on 9/11, and that should have given us the perspective that our life is really in danger.

 What does this all tell us?  We need to remodel the world…and how are we suppose to do this, you ask?  It certainly is a good question…and no one wants to begin on how to answer it.

 With all new things, we start at the beginning.  All things were good, made good, looked good, tasted good, felt good, etc. We keep living, breathing, loving, nurturing, caring, beautifying, admiring, etc.  We looked after things that were here and we looked out for each other.  We made friends along the way, neighbors, businesspersons, and shared our values, our talents, our careers. We keep making progress and continue to learn every day. Life is so simple, don’t complicate it more than it needs to be.

 If more great leaders came to surface in the coming future; with value, spirit, and integrity…we can bring about love, peace, care, and direction into a remodeled, beautiful world that it once was. We need it back!
