Reframing South Asian Regional Cooperation
The Fourteenth South Asian Economic Summit (SAES XIV), organised by CPD, emerged as one of the major events of the year. Co-organised by prestigious institutions—Research and Information Centre for Developing Countries (RIS), Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka (IPS), Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE)—the summit attracted 600 participants from Bangladesh and across South Asia, making it one of the year's largest gatherings. CPD launches Quarterly Brief on the Power and Energy Sector titled ‘Currents of Change’
Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) Power and Energy Studies has launched an initiative to monitor and track sectoral performance from the standpoint of energy transition. A quarterly brief titled?‘Currents of Change: Quarterly Brief of the Power & Energy Sector of Bangladesh’?will be published on energy transition on a regular basis.? The first volume of the quarterly brief, July- September 2023 has been published and highlights the following issues of the power and energy sector during the first quarter of FY2024. Read more.
61st YSSS: Hearing out the Young Researchers
As a part of the regular capacity-building initiatives of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), the in-house session of the 61st Young Scholar Seminar Series (YSSS) was organised by CPD on 30 November 2023. Ms Isabela Mumu Rozario, Programme Associate CPD, Mr Mahrab Al Rahman, Programme Associate CPD and Mr Faisal Quaiyyum, Research Intern, CPD showcased their research papers at the session.
