That reflexive article for 2023

Taking advantage of the reflective period inherent in the first week of the year, I have gathered here some thoughts that were present during the 2023 planning meetings, shared in the form of advice. I hope they help with your reflection and building an amazing 2023! Have a good year!

Focus on impact not effort: it's not about how hard you work, but how smart you do. This may look easy, but is one of the hardest things to do. We often get caught in the trap of hard work, thinking it is a metric of success, when it is most definitely the opposite. When we are able to prioritize the investment of our resources (time and budget) in initiatives that truly drive change is when the greatest outcomes are generated. Be vocal about achievements and not about staying late at work.

Embrace vulnerability:?Have difficult conversations whenever needed in order to build a new reality and believe in the power of assuming what you don't know as a path to achieve bigger things. The realization of what you are capable of and what you are not capable of doing are the starting point of getting help, building together, listening to peers and going further.

Prioritize action to build scale: Whenever developing an initiative,? think big. Instead of building to a specific delivery or demand, build to a specific need. In that way, whenever that same need appears, you already have a scalable solution translated into an action plan. Just to give an example: imagine you receive a demand to organize a dinner with your biggest client. Take that opportunity to develop a playbook of activations with clients, using the dinner as an example of a possible delivery. It takes longer to plan but saves lots of time and your future you will be thankful for.

Be fluent about speaking KPIs: Goals and metrics should not be the "elephant in the room". They should be present on a daily basis, a natural presence in our routine and an important part of the conversations we have. Know what is expected from you and? focus on building value, using data as an important ally to decision making.

Be committed to greatness, to yourself and your team: Commitment is about consistently choosing to deliver at the best of your capabilities. It may look hard, but I have to tell you that this is the shortest path to success.?

Great piece, Guilherme! Love the point about “prioritize action to build scale” . I hope you find more reflective periods in 2023 to share more thoughts
