Thanks Michelle, we’ve been reflecting on the past year at Janders Dean and sharing stories. Each of us will share and then we’ll nominate a few friends to share their 2019 reflections and hope you’ll then nominate a few members of your own tribe.

For me this year was all about the statement: you are the summation of the five people with whom you spend the most time.

2019 has been action-packed, from participating in LWOW (and meeting the whole of #teamKomorebi in person in Miami), to working with Co Squared and Janders Dean. Everyone in these communities is the definition of generosity and truly inspiring. A big thank you to those people who have filled my year with service, learning, honest conversations, creativity, laughter, professional and personal growth. It has been a year that has stretched me in the best possible way. I am very grateful.

 2019 has also ended on a momentous high, as I completed my Arts/Law degree.

Some of you may know that I was in a car accident with a colleague mid-year.  When events like this occur, they force you to exercise discipline, patience and to be kind to yourself in ways that you hadn’t been before. At such times, I am reminded that finding your tribe- individuals with an aligned purpose and values – is imperative. 

 This year has also been about digging deeper. Really listening. Really questioning and being real. My 2019 reflection: authenticity is the greatest superpower. 

Next year will present new opportunities and challenges, as I begin the ‘next chapter’ of my professional life and I am ready and raring to embrace them… bring on 2020!
