A Reflective Thanksgiving: Gratitude in Our Industry
Dear Forest Business Network Newsletter Reader:
Here in the USA (and a few other countries), our "holidays" start early with Thanksgiving Day, which is tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
This day is our annual celebration to give thanks for our blessings. The popular notion is that Thanksgiving commemorates a festival in the early days of our country where English settlers and Native Americans gathered together to show appreciation for the harvest and the bounty of the land. Seems like something our industry can appreciate as well, don't you think?
While the holiday's meaning and its relation to that celebration from hundreds of years ago are likely more "fiction than fact," I hope we can all take a moment to show appreciation for what we have and the people who surround us... regardless.
With that, I say thank you for being a reader and for contributing to our industry. I appreciate you.
Best,
Craig Rawlings
