Rafiki, one of the wisest characters in the Lion King movie asks Simba to look into the water and helps him to remember who he is! It is an important scene where the real transformation happens within Simba.
Our mind is a phenomenal one and exhibits the characteristics of both absorption and reflection. When we start to be aware of our own thoughts, the interludes between them become a magical cultivating space for our thoughts. Reflection plays a crucial role to inquire about our inner cognitive layers and becomes a gateway for realizing the abundance!
Yesterday, I was reflecting on my coaching journey. My thoughts travelled deeper to understand the "why" behind my decision to pursue professional coaching. The thoughts whispered to me "Bala, you are an introvert and often get trapped in your vicious mental loops, then how can you coach others and guide them to realize their potential?! I felt they are true statements about me. Then there was a profound silence in my mind and started to dive deep into knowing the purpose behind my journey. I found that my inner mind evolved when I chose the Scrum Master as my career path. And the true inspiration is my Scrum Guru Gunther Verheyen! Scrum Mastery has completely shown the brand new version of me! I started to focus on People's immense potential and its boundless nature. Whenever I feel down and get blocked by my limiting beliefs, the Coaching mindset gives me the immense courage to live in the land of Unknowns and move forward with more enthusiasm!
So, my real quest and inner calling are directed toward Coaching. It sets an opportunity for me to discover my own potential and coach others to explore themselves and realize their strength within to build a resilient mindset! I am still a "Work in progress" and continuously learning from the emergence! My belief is when we are strongly rooted in our core inner values - "Swdharma", our journey becomes both meaningful and joyful!

Thanks Balachandhiran Sankaran. Tanmoy Das , PCC is the man isn't he ?? I like the Simba / Rafiki analogy. When Simba is rediscovering who he is, he does this in the context of all his forefathers because of course we are each of us the product of those who came before and what they lived through. What he does with this and how takes his place in his family system, is up to him. In the same way, our organisations are the product of all those who came before and the traumas and successes they experienced too. How we find our place in those systems, the reality we create for those who follow and which voices we listen to, is up to us.
