Reflections of the Wind Conference Hamburg

It was great to be part of WindEnergy Hamburg last week and meet so many inspiring leaders in our industry, here are some of our observations from the conference:

D&I

One of the themes that struck me the most was the lack of diversity at the event and not just from a gender perspective.??With many of our clients and initiatives to address this in balance, I look forward to seeing the demographic change over the coming years.?As recruiters in this sector, it’s apparent there is requirement to champion under-represented groups and break the bias.

Talent Shortages

A common theme amongst everyone we spoke to at the event was the significant growth in headcount,?the need for hiring talent in the industry and the concern over how the industry will tackle the talent shortages.

Growth

It was interesting to hear the latest developments in floating wind, still relatively small but an opportunity for locations with deep waters, looking forward to hearing how this develops over the coming years.
