Reflections of the Rotary Year 2022/2023

As we prepare to usher in the New Rotary Year 2023/2024, let’s take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments of the previous year, 2022/2023, under the leadership of Steve Maina . It was a year filled with inspiring meetings, networking opportunities, forging new friendships, and memorable moments of shared meals and celebrations. Here are the top 9 standout moments that made our year truly exceptional.

  1. The return of in-person meeting with lots of love and support from other clubs.
  2. Hosting of the one and only DG Azeb Asrat and District Governor-Elect Leonard Ithau .
  3. We got our hands dirty and planted 230 trees at Mpesa Foundation Academy and Statehouse Primary School.
  4. The 8th Annual Careers Garage, featuring 15 corporate partners and 200 high school students ready to ignite their futures.
  5. Awards from the 98th DCA in Addis:

  • Outstanding Club of The Year?
  • Outstanding Club in Professional Development (Runners Up)?
  • Outstanding Club in PR & Communication (Runners Up)

6. Immediate Past President, Ruth Kihoro became the 5th RCNC Member to be awarded with the PHF Recognition.

7. A wisdom-packed affair; the peer-to-peer mentorship cocktail filled with insights.

8. Our RCNC family expanded, welcoming 10 new members into our fold.

9. We had a blast socially, enjoying movies, karaoke, graduation and ruracio dances, game nights, home hospitalities, exciting road trips to Isiolo and Kajiado, hangouts, picnics, and endless conversations filled with laughter.

Guided by the spirit of service and fellowship that defines Rotary, we strike a perfect balance of work and play
