Reflections - My Journey Through 2023

Reflections - My Journey Through 2023

"We do not learn from experience we learn from reflecting on experience" - John Dewey

As we bid adieu to 2023, I delve into the defining moments of my professional career, drawing wisdom from those experiences. It has been a year of opportunities, growth, and challenges that have contributed to an overall positive impact.

I started my public speaking journey this year and was fortunate to be chosen to speak and present my story/perspectives at these national and international testing conferences.

I had the unique privilege in 2023 to talk at seasoned conferences being hosted for 40 years and also debut conferences that started their inaugural year in 2023. Both of these have helped me grow as a speaker. As I progressed through my speaking journey in 2023 I also realized that my talk also organically changed and reshaped based on the feedback and responses I got from the audience. Internally within my organization, I also delivered talks on topics such as Quality Engineering Transformation and My Story of Building My Brand.

The year 2023 started with me enrolling as a mentee in the MASH Program which is a mentoring program for budding conference speakers to be connected with experienced speakers. I got to work with Lena Pejgan Nystr?m as my mentor through this program and she has been a guiding force in helping me build my talk across all my speaking engagements this year.

I also started blogging and published thought leadership blogs featured in LambdaTest that covered topics ranging from Technical Skills CXO needs to nurture, Test Analytics and prioritization, and Test Tool Selection Strategies.

2023 has also been the year where I earned LinkedIn's top voice badge in Software Testing. The process of working through these badges is itself a learning experience of the few ways AI and data are being leveraged within LinkedIn.

I also participated as a mentor in the 4-week mentorship program hosted by AgileVirgin . I got to mentor amazing mentees Sumy Kollara Mukundan and Nitesh kumar Kautharapu and it was a rewarding learning experience being part of this mentorship program.

Looking ahead to 2024 I continue to pursue my efforts in building my brand through multiple channels public speaking, blogging, and mentoring programs. The pages turn, and a new chapter awaits—here's to embracing the unwritten possibilities of the year to come.
