Reflections of my Journey

Recently, I celebrated the completion of a heartwarming journey of 25 years with 印孚瑟斯 . The memories of that very first day, back in June 1998, still stir my emotions as if it were yesterday. I vividly recall stepping into the vibrant red hues of the "Kenonics" building, filled with anticipation and excitement, ready to embark on a path that would forever change my life. It was in that moment that I had the privilege of attending our first session delivered by none other than our visionary founder and CEO, Mr. Narayana Murthy.

He spoke on Infosys' vision and the endeavor to put the Indian IT industry on the global map. He passionately spoke about the values of Integrity, Fairness, Hard work, and Continuous learning that form the bedrock of our company. He added how everyone at Infosys bears the responsibility to uphold these values not only for the organization, but also for the IT industry as a whole. Little did I know then how these values would shape my own personal career.

As I look back on the past 25 years, several key insights stand out to me:

1.????Learnability as a key tenet: The technology industry we operate in is in a constant state of flux, acting as a catalyst for global economic changes. It is often said that "The rate of change is the fastest it has ever been, and the slowest it will ever be”. To thrive and succeed in such an environment, continuous learning becomes imperative. Whether it was the enlightening sessions at the Infosys Leadership Institute or the transformative experiences at esteemed institutions like 美国哈佛商学院 and Stanford University Graduate School of Business , I was blessed with countless opportunities to expand my horizons. With each passing year, I realized how much more there was to learn, igniting a cycle of perpetual growth.

2.????Strong Focus on Delivering Commitments: Numerous instances come to mind where we went above and beyond the call of duty to fulfill promises made to our stakeholders. ?I have always found myself surrounded by individuals who put in the sweat and toil to keep their word. The commitment to delivering on our promise is ingrained in the culture of Infosys. This has been a driving force behind my personal success and has shaped the way I approach my work.

3.????Focus on Integrity: Throughout the past 25 years, I have encountered complex challenges of various kinds. ?In the face of uncertainty and turmoil, the emphasis placed on ethical conduct and unwavering integrity at Infosys has served as my compass. Adhering to the truth and embracing honesty has not only eased my path but has also shaped me into the person I am today. In the words often spoken within the walls of Infosys, "A clear conscience is the softest pillow."

4.????Reinvention to stay relevant: ?During the last 25 years, I have found myself taking up a new challenge every 3-4 years, which has pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had to learn new skills and rethink how I approach these challenges. ?I have always believed that hard work and dedication yield remarkable results. New opportunities opened for me, and this journey continued to be filled with a sense of joy and fulfillment with every new year.?

Finally, and most importantly, achieving such a significant milestone is not a solitary accomplishment. I firmly believe that the foundation of this journey rests upon the shoulders of the incredible company and the extraordinary individuals I have had the privilege to work with. Together, we have tackled complex projects, celebrated victories, learned from failures, and supported one another during difficult times. I am immensely grateful to the leaders and mentors who have guided and supported me on this ongoing journey.
