Honoring Fathers and the Legacy of Family

Today is Father’s Day. I want to take a moment to honor my incredible sons, Jacob Totri and Mason Totri , and to also dedicate this tribute to their dad, Bryan M. Totri, CFP?, CBDA , for his leadership and friendship.

This year is extra special because Mason, just became a dad, and Jake has been guiding his wonderful 5-year-old son and 8 year old step girls, with love and wisdom. Both of my sons served in the Coast Guard, with Mason currently serving as an officer. Their commitment to service and leadership is a source of immense pride for me. They embody the values of integrity and honor, which are at the heart of true leadership. These qualities don't just make them great servicemen—they make them incredible fathers and leaders for the next generation of our family.

Leading by Example

They lead by example, with integrity, passion and purpose. It's not just about telling our kids what's right but showing them through our actions. Integrity and honor are the foundations of this kind of leadership. Watching Jake and Mason take on their roles with such dedication and responsibility makes my heart swell with pride. They are role models not only to their children but to everyone around them.

Values and Virtues

As parents, we have the unique opportunity to shape the next generation. The values we instill—kindness, respect, perseverance—become the guiding principles of our children's lives. Jake and Mason live these values every day, both at work and at home. Watching my own kids become the parent, choosing their life partners, making decisions that align with values and virtues.

Every parent brings their own strengths and talents to their family. For Jake and Mason, their experiences in the Coast Guard have reinforced their sense of duty and resilience. These qualities are now being passed down to their children, ensuring they grow up with a deep appreciation for service and responsibility.
