When 2020 began, I expected to be launching my coaching practice to the next level, adding more workshops to my roster and travelling to a couple of interesting conferences. How things changed!
I finished up my coaching certification with Co-Active Training Institute as this all began, and later was able to achieve my ACC designation with the International Coaching Federation. I pivoted my business online, and starting seeing my clients more regularly to check in. Coaching was definitely something the world needed in 2020! I was so glad to work with my clients, as well as my coaches Pat and Karen.
My in-person training with Heroic Public Speaking made the pivot to virtual - and I finished the work and graduated this week. Meeting amazing people along the way in our class of the 44 people who did this work together. I'm excited about the keynote I developed and to give this talk in 2021!
There were days when I didn't feel like coaching. Like writing. Like rehearsing. And, some days I didn't. But I kept it up. Sometimes, simply the obligation of having that appointment in my calendar made me show up.
Sitting now on the eve of the new year, I am reflecting on 2020 as a year to listen. To slow down. To learn. To meet fabulous new groups of people who have impacted my life. To strengthen relationships with groups of people I already knew. To find the silver linings - and to keep going. Here's to 2021, looking forward to staying in touch with you there!
