Reflections

My last day at Collins Aerospace was filled with so many emotions.

GRATEFUL...for the 27 years working initially at Hamilton Standard, then Hamilton Sundstrand and now Collins. So many transitions which helped me adapt to the ever changing business environment. From my early days in customer service to strategic sourcing for the 787 Dreamliner to helping folks navigate the complexities of trade compliance... all the while working towards earning my MBA through the employee scholar program. It has been a heck of a ride!

HUMBLED and PROUD...to have been part of one of America's greatest jet fighter programs.. the F-22 Raptor. I learned so much from my Pratt & Whitney colleagues. Establishing 100% readiness levels at bases we stood up in the early days was no easy task!

AMAZED... at the tireless dedication of our folks who keep the planes in the air at Collins' overhaul and repair centers. Newberry Road holds a special place in my heart and is where it all began. We had an amazing team of folks and it was the model of productivity and fun.

THANKFUL..for the friendships and relationships I have formed along the way.

While I ponder my next steps during this transition, I want to remind everyone who is in a similar situation to be strong and stay positive. I'm convinced brighter days are ahead. When one door closes, two more open. I'm targeting positions in the area I am most passionate about.. helping folks navigate the complexities of trade compliance.
