Reflections on Approaching A Detour
#Detour is a sign we see. Construction ahead, detour!
Beyond, detour, is a sign we FEEL. We know a path must change. The brains in our heart, gut, and connections of our nervous system align to tell us something.
This feeling comes, when are reminded about the true 'why' of our being, as an individual (personal - professional), or a group (family-organization). A why, lost and obscured by creeping weeds, in our desire to grow toward or in pursuit of that same why. We grow toward light, only to be limited by the shadows of that light, as seasons go. Shadows of possessions, distraction, and entanglements of debt, and ego.?We pursue things innocently, but absorbed by unintended consequences, and drift away. The end lost by the means we think are needed.
A detour required to find the light again.?
Einstein once said:
no problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.
Onward, the detour we feel is an awakening into the anew. A birth of a cell, that if nourished, creates a new model or design to move forward with. Detour is a Consciousness. Consciousness though is one thing. But to act, in response, carries a dilemma and questions:?
These questions require answers. And will reveal the specific considerations for the specific case at hand. Be it that you are looking at career change, moving to a new country, taking your organization into a new model, or just simply dying to your current identity, to take on a new one.?
The fact that you are already feeling it, is a start. As the energy gathered up, will build and build, and leak out into reality.?

There is a Lincoln quote that comes to mind:
"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country".
DISENTHRALL!?This word stands out. Save, maybe not our country, but ourselves.
A release from bondage. A stripping away. This may well be the start of the Detour you feel. This may well lead you into strategies aligned to minimalism, or seeking places to get meditative peace.
List things to strip away. To clear ground. Knock them off, one by one, and if possible, in batches. We find that stripping one element, removes many others automatically. There will be difficult conversations, hard tasks, and doubt. But, who feels it knows. engage at the level of the urgency or will you have. Either done or not done. Concentration of energy required or it just will not occur.
Resentment, regret, can be cancerous.
Clearance, clarity and concentration. Is our pre-requisite.
Let us get things down to basics, to get clarity on first principles. Then, from a project management point of view, it can be see as designing new inputs and processes, for change of outputs, or to evolve from that factory view, write the story you want to be able to tell about the experiences you want to see and feel, and then list all the specific enablers for it.
So, with all this.
The detour is not a destination, but a journey to it, and on it. You are already on it if you feel it, there are decisions to go with those feelings.
