Life Reflections

Life Reflections

  1. Everything is temporary, except for change. Nothing is static; everything is moving and changing nonstop, even if your eyes can’t perceive it. Embrace change, adapt, and let go of the past.
  2. Resisting change is resisting nature. Embrace it by adapting.
  3. There is no “nature” and “people.” We are nature. There is no “you” and “I.” We are all one. Once you get that, everything changes.
  4. Everything and everyone is energy, vibrating at different frequencies.
  5. Learning to understand and influence your own energy is the key to connecting with others.
  6. Trust your gut, not your ego.
  7. Reality is only as narrow as your awareness.
  8. One can see life as seasons. No matter how cold the winter, remember spring is coming. And though you’re having a blast in summer, remember to keep yourself grounded, for winter is coming.
  9. Life and the universe are a balance of opposite forces, where one enables the existence of its opposite and vice versa. There cannot be good without bad, light without darkness, easy without difficult, soft without hard, winter without summer. Reminding yourself of this during both difficult and easy periods enables calmness, resilience, and grounded actions.
  10. The biggest growth and lessons come from facing your fears, challenges, and darkness. There can only be light if there is darkness.
  11. Nothing (or everything) matters only as much as you allow it to.
  12. Balance is subjective. Don’t let others’ definitions make you doubt your own.
  13. Happiness (peace of mind) comes from within. Don’t allow external factors to influence it. This is a valuable yet difficult skill to develop.
  14. You can’t have everything. There’s always a trade-off, and that’s okay. Every decision comes with a “sacrifice” or a decision not to do the opposite.
  15. Time is more valuable than money.
  16. Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
  17. Be punctual. Be mindful and respectful of others’ time, as well as your own.
  18. Money is useless without purpose.
  19. Losing together is better than winning alone.
  20. Your relationships with others can only be as good as the one you have with yourself.
  21. We are all at different levels of self-awareness. Identifying others’ levels and meeting them where they are is one of the most valuable yet undervalued skills you can develop.
  22. Be kind to those who don’t seem to deserve it. They need it the most.
  23. Nothing brings people closer than food and music.
  24. Almost nothing is personal. Avoid making it personal.
  25. Delivery matters. You can influence others’ perception, but ultimately, their own experiences, beliefs, and awareness will dictate how your intention is perceived.
  26. Become aware of the belief systems (culture, politics, religion, etc.) influencing your thought processes. Learn to detach yourself from them on command. Only then can you think freely.
  27. Fall in love with the problem instead of the solution. Spend enough time with the problem before moving on to the solution. This will improve your solutions and reduce biases.
  28. You can only change and improve yourself, not others.
  29. Your judgments of people say more about you than about them.
  30. Negative feedback is the best feedback. Be grateful to its messenger. The sooner you learn to accept it, the sooner you’ll grow.
  31. Don’t avoid tough conversations. The longer you wait, the tougher they become.
  32. Progress is better than perfect.
  33. Life is too short to wrap things around. Say what you mean and mean what you say, with empathy.
  34. Listen to those with more experience, but don’t let their experiences define or hinder yours.
  35. Don’t let experience blind your curiosity. You will never know everything about anything.
  36. Learn to manage how you react to your impulses and emotions. Observe, breathe, and let things go. If you react emotionally to everything, anything and anyone can control you.
  37. Keep your purpose in mind; it will make daily choices easier and better.
  38. Have a plan. It’s important, but keeping calm and adapting when things don’t go as planned is even more important.
  39. Plan long-term while living in the present.
  40. Choose your media consumption wisely.
  41. Consume consciously, in general. Anything that you allow in and around your body.
  42. Believe in yourself, or nobody will.
  43. Anybody can do anything, as long as they believe they can. Impossibility is subjective.
  44. Age is just a number. You can be young in body and old in mind, and vice versa.
  45. Life is a journey, not a destination. Embrace every moment, and keep learning.
  46. Everything is easier said than done.
  47. The best boat is your friend’s boat.
