Looking towards 2024 and beyond
Reflecting on what has been a significant year for our profession, PSA’s purpose remained firm and clear – to support all pharmacists in all areas of practice.?We are committed to working collaboratively during times of significant change, and I remain optimistic about the future of our profession, with tides continuing to shift in state and federal governments toward greater recognition of the important role pharmacists play across our health care system.?
PSA is continuing to strengthen our engagement across the health sector to ensure pharmacists have a strong voice where decisions are made. We are representing you and your interests every day - whether it’s to industry stakeholders or government PSA is standing up for you in everything we do.?
The year ahead
It’s clear that next 12 months will be vital for our profession. We are continuing to fight for the future of the pharmacy profession, ensuring pharmacists will still have positive career progression in all areas of practice and that we are supported and remunerated to continue providing the advice and services our communities rely on.?
PSA is continuing our advocacy for the profession through a full program of work in 2024, including the Unleashing the Potential of our Health Workforce – Scope of Practice Review and importantly, continuing conversations around the 8CPA.
Our team has also begun work on Pharmacists in 2030, PSA’s flagship vision for the future of the profession.?

Finally, I want to sincerely thank all of you – our PSA members. You are at the core of what we do every day, and it is only with your continued support that we can continue to promote the vital roles of pharmacists in our health system.
Best wishes,
