REFLECTIONS ON 2022

2022 has been a significant year for DP-Master and it is my privilege to highlight our major achievements.?Before I do that, I would like to thank our fabulous team at DP-Master Singapore (DPMS) and our satellite offices in the regions for their dedication to making DPMS a world class company and the number one choice for many drilling contractors and operators around the globe.?

• The Middle East is one of our major areas of activity. ?Aramco added DPMS Sour Service drill pipe with DPM-ST connections to their approved vendors list having undergone rigorous testing and engineering review by the Drilling Technical Department department.?This has opened up significant additional market opportunities for our drill pipe and BHA in Saudi Arabia.
• In Kuwait DPMS has won multiple drill string awards for new rig contracts for the major drilling contractors.?We continue to develop new products in cooperation with KOC for their deeper more challenging wells.
• The Asia Pacific market has rebounded strongly in 2022 with market share growth for DPMS in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.?We have deployed a string of 5 ?” DPM-DS55 in Japan for a major operator which has been running successfully for the past 6 months.
• South America has seen a resumption of activity.?We have delivered additional strings of large diameter drill pipe with DPM-ST54 and DPM-ST57 connections to our clients in Brazil.?Meanwhile our 5 ?” DPM-MT57 drill string has been working successfully on a new development project in The Campos Basin.?Argentina activity has also rebounded and we have several new orders in the backlog for existing clients.
• Activity in Norway has increased with activity forecast to be robust in 2023.?DPMS has a very strong presence in this market with DPM-DS, DPM-MT and DPM-ST connections dominating the drill pipe market.
• DPMS in partnership with REELWELL AS has secured orders for DualLink wired drill pipe from Nabors for US Land.? New orders for 5” and 5 7/8” OD DualLink wired drill pipe were secured from a major operator in the North Sea.
• At our manufacturing plant we have installed a new automated pipe upsetting line.?This improves efficiency as well as safety for our employees.?We upgraded our friction welding line and added a robust dust extraction system.?We have just taken delivery of a state of the art Olympus full body Ultrasonic Tube inspection system.?This will allow us to inspect heavy wall pipe for landing strings to the most stringent specifications.?

As we begin a new year our primary focus as always will be Customer Service.?Our Technical Support team services clients and licensees all over the world every day.?The back office sales administration team endeavor to produce quotations within 48 hours of the inquiry.?Our Region Managers are always on hand to provide commercial and technical assistance wherever needed and are always on call to answer our clients.
