Reflections 2021
What an unusual year it has been. Or rather very similar to 2020. It almost feels like the years never changed. Just a long foggy time in a cloud we call Covid.
For us, like for many others, it has been a year of challenges. A year to practice patience, new habits, less contacts and a lot of social distance. No business trips to look forward to, no meetings with old friends in other parts of the world.
Instead, it has been a year of inventing new ideas, finding new ways to work, make things possible through the world of Zoom and other media. Everyone is adapting quite well. Working from home has been the new school and many businesses has seen an improved result, contrary to what many thought was possible.
Habits have changed. The old normal of going in to a store to buy everything has now been replaced by online shopping, no matter your age. Even my 85-year-old father-in-law is now buying his groceries online. It gives us hope when everyone can adapt to the new situation.
What′s been most important to me, and many others I believe, is to realize the value of your family. My wife and I celebrate 30 years of marriage this year, and when we, in July, got to meet our kids after one year apart, happiness knew no limits. I feel blessed to have seen what gives me the strength in life to carry on. My family!
