Reflection Time! What Are You Thankful For?

Now that we are officially in November and the weather is starting to get chilly, now is the perfect time to cozy up and remind ourselves of the theme of the month - THANKFULNESS. With "thankfulness" it's a great time to think of what you are truly grateful for and where your life is at the moment. Are you grateful for the relationships you have and are building currently? Are you happy about where you work and where it's taking you? Have you taken some time to care for yourself this year? These are some of the big questions to ask yourself this season and reflect. But I don't mean to stress you out... this is just a time to think positively and relax. There are some recommendations and ideas that I have that you can keep track of what matters to you. So, grab your comfiest blanket, a steaming cup of your favorite beverage, and let's embark on this delightful journey together.

The Gratitude Game: Let's Start Counting Blessings, Not Calories!

Gratitude isn't just for Thanksgiving dinner—though it definitely amps up the gratitude factor at your turkey feast! It's about savoring life's small joys every day. Here's how to sprinkle some gratitude into your daily routine:

?? Gratitude Journal: Get yourself a journal, and start scribbling down three things you're thankful for each day. I actually started the official Gratitude Journal that was gifted to me back in September of this year. I have been filling it out since and it ha helped me daily to remind myself of the good things and not focus on the bad. If you are interested in purchasing this journal, Amazon has them here.

?? Spread the Thanks: You know that warm, fuzzy feeling when someone shows appreciation? Share the love! Write thank-you notes, send gratitude texts, or give a heartfelt compliment to brighten someone's day.

?? Mindful Mouthfuls: When you're chomping down on your favorite snacks, take a moment to appreciate the flavors, textures, and the fact that you're indulging in something tasty.

Mindfulness: Because Life's Too Short to Rush Through It

Mindfulness isn't just for Zen masters; it's for anyone who wants to enjoy life more fully. Here are some playful ways to bring mindfulness into your everyday adventures:

?? Meditation: Meditation can be as simple as sitting comfortably, closing your eyes, and focusing on your breath. Or it can involve imagining yourself floating in a sea of marshmallows. Your choice!

?? The Slow-Mo Challenge: Pick a day to do everything in slow motion. Drink your tea like you're sipping a fine wine, walk at a snail's pace, and savor your food with a food critic's finesse. Don't rush through life!

?? Digital Detox: Nowadays, everyone is glued to their phone or some kind of digital device. Every now and them it's good to give your brain and eyes some rest. So unplug from the digital universe for an afternoon. Let your phone nap while you engage in analog delights—read a paperback, sketch, or have a real conversation with a human.

So, as November unfolds its chilly embrace, let's cozy up to gratitude and mindfulness like they're our favorite Netflix binge-watching partners. These simple yet magical practices can turn even the grayest of days into a kaleidoscope of warmth and joy. Here's to an enchanting and mindful November! ?????
