Reflection On October 7, 2024

We have a wonderful nation - with a rich past and an even greater future. But for now, all this only exists in potential. To get there we're going to have to go through a few processes to actually implement it in reality.

Here are some points I wanted to highlight for reflection on this day, when the whole nation of Israel is grieving along with Jews abroad of course, and our supporters all over the world:

1 - An Inevitable Process

Our nation will rise no matter what - either in a positive way or in a negative way.

2 - The Purpose of our Division

The purpose of our division and internal strife is for us to truly understand what's demanded of us.

3 - Living Between Two Opposite Situations

Living between two opposite situations is a very natural process that's rooted in Jewish history. The new thing we need to learn is that we can't each remain in the same position and continue fighting - we need to rather look for the middle line. Something that's above our personal opinions.

4 - Random or Purposeful ?

We can look at everything going on and decide whether we think it's all just happening in a random manner or does it all have a purpose?

5 - Review our History

There are some gaps we need to fill in and the best way to do that is to go back and learn our history.

6 - The Transition

Right now we're in a transition from our current state to our future state, which is unity.

7 - Our Goal, Role, and Obligation

We haven't yet put everything in order but we'll have to eventually in order to stabilize the situation. That is mainly figuring out our goal, our role in the world and our obligation to humanity.

8 - Neutralizing Hate

At the moment we don't know how to neutralize hate, because we haven't gotten into it yet. But one thing any of us can verify right now is whether we're for or against connection. If I'm for or against unity. There's no grey area here.

9 - Advancing Correctly

We will know how to advance correctly based on the level of unity in the nation. The alternative is to continue on our current path and wait to see what happens.

10 - Hate Weakens Us

At this point it's clear to all that hate and division tears us apart and weakens us - and brings suffering upon us.

The equation is very simple: Connection among people = BENEFIT + VITALITY + LIFE (material and spiritual)

11 - Our Future State

We need to figure out how to make decisions together so we take the right steps forward for each other.

12 - BONUS

Focusing on and discussing these matters in a significant way will create a better environment to raise our kids in. It will also provide us with a significant boost of EQ, which makes us feel like we can do anything.

Let's Make The Right Choice

So now, a year later, the choice is in our hands - we'll either choose unity & connection, or who knows how this will play out otherwise.

I'm optimistic that we'll make the right choice.

That we'll come to our senses in time.

That the good forces in Israel, will prevail over the bad forces in Israel.

And we will rise again - smarter, stronger, better and more united than ever before.
