A Reflection on LIFE: Why Capitalism can work and it didn't for me

If ever there was a time to invest in America it was the New Deal. If ever there was a time for the USA to become a World power, it was the Marshall Plan investing in the reconstruction of Europe. If there ever was time for investing in the future, it was Deeming and the occupation force in Japan after the war.
If ever there was a chance to move the USA into the 21st century it is NOW. Today's debt is tomorrow's investment if only you took the risk.
I am old enough today to see where my temerity and unwillingness to take the risk on Apple, or Microsoft as they were just creating the Mac and Microsoft soft ware, when I had the chance . I'd be rich. If I invested in Amazon when it was an online book store , I'd be rich. But no, like most people I bought the Radio Shack Computer, later the IBM Computer with Microsoft software and even later the books from Amazon.
I missed opportunity after opportunity, but I was lucky. And I have survived. But I ain't rich. But I did help fund the ideas that brought us Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon by becoming a customer. Now I have a bunch of ancient equipment, computer operating systems and programs, and books I've read. If I live long enough maybe they will be worth something to a collector.
