Reflection to Guide You Forward

Hindsight, as they say, is 2020.

And I do believe, as my friend Ashish likes to say, we will look back at this time to see that legends were born.

It is my belief, one that I have tested hundreds of times with clients over the past decade, that when you wish to revitalize your story, you benefit from drawing yourself deeply into the moments that you’ve already lived, those moments that you carry through time, and those that appear when you’d least expect them. And once you do, you can re-inhabit those moments, step back into them, give them breadth (and breath), distinction and dimension once more, and pull back the plastic that has sealed them in their current meaning, providing the opportunity to feel them anew.

After all, we are meaning-making beings, and have become experts at it. That’s actually why this process is so important. Because the process of freeing the meaning enables you to find the meaning. To help you do so, I invite you to create what I call a Life Legend.

A Life Legend can help you map your life’s key moments, a bit at a time, so you may re-member and re-calibrate your greater story. I suggest making a large version made of poster board or four pieces of paper taped together, so it has room for the insights that sit behind or beside your ‘big’ moments - the ones that take up most of the airtime. Make it a creative venture, like the one in the header, one of my favorites.
