Reflection: Growing Out Of It

Reflection: Growing Out Of It

A problem we all faced, the toxic attachment to everything, from people to objects. While people would view it as a negative thing in life - understandably why - let’s see if we can change our perception, and consider it a norm instead?

A phase, in life, that all of us have to face at one point or another.?

Remember that heartbreak you had? When you thought you loved - Friendship or Romantically - someone, and your life revolves around them? Your illusion in love. Remember the things that gave you so much joy in life as a kid? And now that thing is gone, or will never be the same anymore. And remember, the feelings you get after losing them? Reminiscing the past and how it used to be. At one point, it could be overwhelming that you think you would not be able to live without it. Or mildly, the nostalgia and suffocation feelings you get.?

It’s our attachment. While the level of attachment can vary, many would agree that excessive attachment, especially in relationships, is harmful to us. Couldn’t agree more. But at the same time, we could consider appreciating those moments, when you are totally invested in something, or someone, for the right reason or not. I viewed it as a phase of hues.

I appreciate those moments, because those were the times, when life was very vibrant. The two extremes, the beautiful scenes and the sorrowful scenes. Everything in life is amplified.?

Look at where we stand in life now? Numb and undisturbed. The world looks grey, you are happy, but moderately so. And a grey life is not a bad thing as well. Because moderation is key to having that constant peace of mind.?

But don’t you miss those naive, and childlike moments in your life? The life of exploration, the attainment of greatness, with a higher risk of negative implications. Like a storm that can’t be tame.?

And now I am here.?
