Reflection on Graduating with 2nd Masters!
Well I am happy to say I stayed the course and finished strong- graduating with honors of Summa Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA for my 2nd Masters. Although I have an MBA, I wanted to go back and get a better understanding of human behavior and how the mind works. Especially since my entire Valiant Woman ministry is based on mindset. I have always dreamed of attending a strong biblically based university and decided for my 2nd Master’s, that I would attend Liberty University! I have seen that dream come to fruition and I graduated with the largest class in Liberty University’s history with 20,000 students. By the way, this program was not by any means easy and required at least 15 hours a week of study and homework. I thoroughly enjoyed Vice President Mike Pence’s commencement speech!
Today, my family and I celebrated this accomplishment together. When I enrolled in Liberty’s Master’s program, I never thought I would accomplish some of my other dreams along the way. During my time with Liberty, I also published my first book (Fighting Fat with Fearless Faith), started a group coaching program, landed several motivational speaking gigs, hosted a week long women’s retreat in the mountains, summited a 14’er in Colorado and ran several half marathons. All while working full time and taking on additional responsibilities at work, raising a family, maintaining a strong relationship with my husband and the other numerous household responsibilities that must be kept.
I tell you all of this not to “brag” about “me” but to “brag” about God. Because I couldn’t have done this all in my own strength. Also, know that you can accomplish anything if you will just take a step of fearless faith forward and trust God. One step at a time will lead to miles of greatness! I hope that this post encourages and inspires you.
I want to thank my husband, my best friend for being there and supporting me along this journey. I have shed many tears with him over challenges and he always meets me in the challenge and prays for me. I’m so grateful to have him in my life!
Many ask me, what’s next. Well for my ministry, I am in the process of writing my next Valiant Woman mindset program, geared towards helping women become the Valiant and Victorious Woman that God intended them to be by moving from a “Victim” (Fixed) mindset to a “Victor” (Growth) mindset. I also am in the process of interviewing many Valiant Women such as authors, successful corporate women, business owners, etc. for my Valiant Woman Victory podcast. Also, for my day job, I believe God has me in my position for a reason. I enjoy leading a team and working with people and love selling. Finally, I will continue to trust God wherever He leads me!
All, believe in yourself, but most importantly believe in God. Dream BIG but don’t just dream…..GO after it so that you can GROW and live a flourishing life!
Be Valiant & Be Victorious!
God Bless!
