As a child, I grew up obsessed with the sky.
I have a mum that is equally as obsessed. We both love admiring the sky, the clouds, and taking the prettiest pictures.
My favorite time to look at the sky is at night. The blue sky and white clouds are absolutely gorgeous but nothing beats the sparkle in the night sky.?
The stars are the most beautiful when the sky is dark and the moon is most beautiful at its fullest.?
We all admire the stars and even use the word to refer to celebrities and people we see as doing very well. As much as I love to be referred to as a star, I see myself as more of the moon.?
The moon is such a beauty and it does not even have any light of its own. It reflects the light of the sun and that light shows the beauty we all see.?
For stars that generate their own light they burn out eventually. In fact, it is believed that the stars we see now have already burned out.?
But the moon that shines the brightest never does. Why? It reflects the light of the sun and does not use a lot of energy to create light of its own.?
The light of the sun is so powerful, it shines through another heavenly being to provide light for earth.?
I believe I am like the moon; and the sun is God. I am reflecting the light of the God to light up the whole world.?
My parents led me to Christ when I was 8 and since then, I have had the loveliest relationship with the Holy Spirit.?
I believe a thousand percent that my life has been a reflection of God’s grace and his creativity.?
Like the moon, there are times that I disappear, times when I decide to do it on my own without Gods bright light and I don’t reflect like I should.?
But the little light of the moon does not mean the sun is absent. It just means the moon is away from the line of reflection and needs to revolve back into place.?
Like the sun, God will always be in place waiting for me to position myself to reflect his light to the world.
God is waiting for you to be in place too.?
Like the sun, he remains never changing, never moving. No matter how much you revolve, if you position yourself to be shone through, Gods love and light will shine through you to others.?
It’s beautiful to work hard to generate light. But striving to create our own light can lead to burnout, like stars that eventually fade away.?
But when we position ourselves to reflect God's eternal light, as the moon reflects the sun, we become vessels of His grace, lighting up the world around us with such beauty.?
We might lose our way but God's steadfast presence remains, ready to shine through us once we find him again.?
By humbly aligning ourselves with His light, we can shine brightly, offering hope and love to the world we are sent to.?
Remember, fulfillment lies not in self-made glory, but in the reflection of a greater, unwavering light. So, like the moon, let us position ourselves to reflect God's unchanging love and light, allowing it to shine through us to illuminate the world.
RANDOM FACT OF THE WEEK: This week I found out that it snows in some African countries. I saw a tweet showing snow in Lesotho and doing further research, I’ve found that it also snows in South Africa, Morocco, Algeria, Ethiopia, Uganda, and there are other countries that have recorded snowfall once or twice as well. Shocking right? I thought so too
This week, I hope you will position yourself to be lighted up so you can share God's light to others.
I wish you the best this week!
See you next Sunday!

Dee?
