Reflection Amid COVID-19

Reflection Amid COVID-19

Take a moment to pause. Reflect. I know I have been.

You know and I know things in our world will be very different here on out. That is okay—we will learn and grow as a society and people. My heart has been heavy knowing there is deep loss of many things both material and unseen around the globe for individuals and families.

I am doing my best to see the silver-lining in all of it as a new rhythm takes hold. There is much to be thankful for everyday but a pandemic really knows how to get the gratitude muscles moving. I am thankful my career path has allowed me to be surrounded by believers, scripture, and the profound desire to want to encourage others. I am thankful I have a wife and baby girl to keep my spirits up and my social personality buzzing.

Prior to the headlines, Jasmine was sick for a week. Most of the time in bed and it was horrible. I also came down with a cold as well which still has made my hearing thrown off to date. While our symptoms did not correlate with COVID-19; I believe whole heartedly it has given us a headspace of empathy for those who may be sick or dealing with the outfall of this pandemic.

Maybe that is what is learned during this crisis—the empathy humanity needs for one another no matter the creed, race, or social status. Grace and peace friends. #faith #covid_19 #prayer
