Reflecting on a Year of Impactful Giving

As the year comes to a close and holiday festivities are upon us, I find myself filled with gratitude for the incredible moments of generosity and kindness that we've shared together. This year has been a testament to the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together to support causes that matter.

Celebrating Achievements: Together, we've achieved remarkable milestones at Stop Soldier Suicide . From providing evidence-based, suicide-specific care to veterans and service members, to using data from our pioneering innovation Black Box Project to further inform our suicide prevention efforts, our collective impact has touched the lives of many and prevented needless grief and suffering.? We’ve provided services to over 1,400 service members and 70% of our clients said our organization helped them prevent attempting suicide. We are with our clients every step of the way in their journey and want to ensure that our first conversation and their first interaction with us won’t be their last. We are here 24/7 and at no cost to veterans and service members. And we have not lost a single client in our care.

The Power of Giving Back: Giving isn't just about financial contributions; it's about the spirit of generosity that unites us all. It's about the time spent volunteering with Stop Soldier Suicide, the resources shared for our wellness solution ROGER, and the empathy extended to those facing challenges. Your dedication has made a significant difference, and I am truly inspired by your commitment to making the world a better place.?

Still, we have more work to do. Everyone has a role to play in raising awareness and checking in on friends and loved ones who are struggling. As the daughter of an army veteran and the mom of a child who struggled with suicidal ideation and suicide attempts for more years than I care to remember, I know how critical our work is. I know it is changing lives in ways that we couldn’t imagine even 10 years ago. I can’t help but imagine how many more lives we can save with accelerated innovation, more data, more resources.

Looking Ahead: As we step toward a new year, let's carry forward the momentum of our giving spirit. There are still so many individuals in need of our help. Whether it's to support our military members that make the call, educate service members, veterans, and our entire community about mental health, or for our Black Box Project and other research initiatives, every contribution counts and brings us closer to a better world where death by suicide no longer plays such a prominent role.

Gratitude and Acknowledgment: I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who have supported our cause this year. Your generosity has been the driving force behind our success, and I am immensely thankful for your trust and belief in our mission.

The Gift of Hope: As we approach the end of the year, I invite you to join me in making a difference one more time. Your year-end donation, no matter the size, will contribute to our ongoing efforts and create a lasting impact. Together, you will help us give support to those that have given so much to our country, and we can collectively say “you’re not alone.” Thank you once again for your incredible support and generosity.?

Wishing you a healthy and joyous holiday season and a year ahead filled with hope, love, and positive change. Together, we can make 2024 a year of even greater impact.
