Reflecting on a Year of Culture, Creativity, and Connection at JXG

As the Group Chief Marketing Officer of Janashakthi Group (JXG), I find myself reflecting on a truly unforgettable moment for us all, our one-year anniversary celebration at Level 39, Mireka Tower on February 16th, 2025. Looking back, I feel a deep sense of pride and gratitude for how far we have come as a team. The success of this celebration is an acknowledgment to the dedication, passion, and heart of each person who has contributed to this journey.

We commenced the anniversary with something simple but meaningful, a special “Pens Down” session. This was not just about taking a break - it was a moment for all of us to pause and reflect on our shared experiences over the past year. The stories we shared about how JXG has touched both our professional and personal lives were nothing short of heartwarming. From the collaboration that drives us to the innovative energy we have built together, it was clear that our company’s strength lies in the connections we have with one another. It’s these connections that truly make JXG feel like home, a place where we are all part of something bigger than ourselves.

A beautiful addition to this year’s celebration was the Valentine’s Day theme, which added an extra layer of love and appreciation to the occasion. Our Managing Director and Group CEO, Ramesh Schaffter, took the time to personally thank every single team member at Level 39 with a thoughtful note and chocolates. It was such a simple gesture, yet it spoke volumes about the warmth and gratitude that define our culture. We also had the Valentine’s Gratitude Gallery, a space for employees to express their appreciation for one another, reminding us that at the core of everything we do is respect, love, and a genuine sense of care for each other.

Our celebrations continued with a cozy and spirited breakfast at Infinity Cafe, where laughter and shared stories filled the air. The cake-cutting ceremony, led by Mr. Eardley Perera and Mr. Dilshan Wirasekara, was more than just a symbolic act, it felt like a true celebration of who we are as a team and the unity we have built together.

One of the most memorable moments was the "Anniversary Challenge Trophy" mini-golf tournament. It was not just about friendly competition, but a chance to bond, share laughs, and enjoy the spirit of teamwork. Then, we wrapped up our celebration with the JXG Identity Hunt, a memory game that brought us closer as we connected the names of colleagues across different departments. These activities were a reminder that our strength lies in the people who make up this team, and together, we’re capable of building something even greater.

As I reflect on the year, I’m filled with gratitude for the amazing energy and commitment of everyone at JXG. This anniversary was not just about looking back on what we have achieved-it was about reaffirming the spirit that binds us together. Every brainstorming session, every late-night push, every moment of collaboration has proven that when we come together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.

At JXG, we don’t just work together, we lift each other up, we support one another, and we build something stronger every single day. Our motto, “Stronger together, stronger than ever,” isn’t just words-it’s the heart of who we are.
