Reflecting on the unforgettable moment with Serena Williams at iFood Move

What a privilege it was to host Serena Williams in Brazil and on the stage of iFood Move. I’m not a journalist; I’m an executive and a mother who comes from humble beginnings in southern Brazil, and I had the honor of interviewing a legend like Serena. I’ve always believed that my success isn’t just mine; it’s about leaving a legacy that benefits the collective.
Serena’s journey is similar to ours in many ways. She entered the sports world as an 'outlier' and redefined tennis. Just like iFood, Serena transformed her environment both on and off the court with determination and purpose—whether it was advocating for equal prize money, representation, or equal opportunities for future generations. Her 27-year career includes 23 Grand Slam titles, four Olympic gold medals, and an impact that goes far beyond tennis.
Like Serena, iFood is not just growing but evolving in its sustainable growth. We’re still young, only 13 years old, but we were born with the drive to create value, challenge the status quo, and strengthen the food service ecosystem. That’s why we created iFood Move. Just as Serena moves on and off the court, we move with innovations that empower 350,000 businesses and the entire ecosystem.
During our brief backstage chat, I shared with Serena how meaningful it is to connect her unparalleled journey with that of thousands of entrepreneurs eager to hear from us. For 60 minutes on stage, we celebrated authenticity, resilience, leadership, and inspired an audience of over 5,000 people. What a day!
