Reflecting on an Unforgettable DECA Provincials Experience

As the Series Director for Hospitality and Tourism Operations Research (HTOR) at this year’s DECA Provincials, I had the unique privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible talent, dedication, and innovation that students brought to the competition. The event, detailed at DECA Provincials, was nothing short of inspiring, showcasing the brightest young minds in business, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

The DECA Provincials serve as a testament to the hard work of students who have honed their skills in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. My role allowed me to oversee the HTOR series, where students presented research and solutions that not only displayed their deep understanding of the hospitality industry but also their ability to think critically about its future challenges and opportunities.

I am immensely proud of every participant’s effort and dedication. The creativity and analytical prowess displayed were a clear indication of the bright futures ahead for these young professionals.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to a number of individuals whose collaboration and support were instrumental in the success of this event. A Huge thank you to Hellen, my co-director and our entrepreneurial judges Jordan Radder , Hazel, and Linda Zhang and the judges I can't thank directly in helping make the event such a success!
